International Music Day
International Music Day is celebrated globally every year on 1st October. It was established in 1973 on the initiative of the UNESCO International Music Council during the 15th General Assembly of the IMC, held in Lausanne. The main goal of this holiday is the exchange of experience between cultures of different countries and the expansion of musical art. 

In Russia, the International Music Day has been celebrated since 1996 At this year was the 90th birthday of composer Dmitry Shostakovich, one of the initiators of the institution. The Moscow Chamber Choir and Vladimir Minin congratulate all musicians and music lovers on this wonderful event and remind you that the great premiere will take place on October 13 at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow! Choir artists, Sergey Skrypka’s symphony orchestra of cinematography, a rock band and soloists will perform a new work by composer Edward Artemiev - “Nine Steps to Transfiguration” for the first time.
